Hi Brianna. Thank you for this post, I had no idea you can make so many interesting breakfast foods in your dorm. My favorite is the breakfast burrito; I wish I knew that recipe when I was still living in a dorm!
Hi Brianna! I honestly have no idea why chef hats have 100 folds. Great post! I love breakfast foods! Reading this post made me hungry. I really like that you reused ingredients from previous recipes. It saves money, and I won't have to find places to store a bunch of leftover ingredients.
Hi Brianna! If I remember correctly a chef's hat has 100 fold to signify that there are 100 ways to cook an egg. I really enjoyed your post this week as well. I am not the biggest fan of breakfast and tend to skip this meal most days and just opt for lunch and dinner, but I really liked some of these recipes. I think I will have to invest in a waffle iron soon as it seems to be extremely versatile and I'm guessing you could probably cook dinner or some sort of desert in it as well. Excited for next week's post!
Hi Anna! You would be correct! I think it's so fascinating that you can cook an egg 100 different ways, so I couldn't resist adding this fun fact. I'm glad I'm not the only one who doesn't enjoy breakfast food that much. It's funny you mentioned deserts in the waffle maker because next week will be all about sweet treats and I guarantee you the waffle maker will make another appearance.
Brianna, I loved this post! I have absolutely no idea why a chef hat has 100 folds, and I am far too embarrassed of the guess rattling around in my head to etch it in the stone of your comment section. Instead, I'll just tell you how handy you make the waffle iron look, and how excited I am to try to eat a breakfast beyond that of cereal and granola bars! Thank you, looking forward to next week's post!
Thinking back, college cafeteria breakfasts were my favorite. I felt like we had more options and choices for breakfast than we did for lunch and dinner. Do these recipes make a dorm breakfast worth the effort? Why?
Personally, I think these recipes are definitely worth the hype! They’re different and customizable to your preferences. While college cafeteria breakfast might have a better selection than lunch or dinner on some days, can you tell the cook to put bacon or peppers in your precooked omelette? In most cases, no. Plus, these recipes are great for the students like me who aren’t morning people and can’t make it to the cafeteria on time. I think it’s all a matter of the food you like. I have never liked breakfast for some reason, but i’ve been trying new things recently and broadening my breakfast horizon!
Gotta say, these look good. I'm half tempted to try the omelet in the waffle iron, it looks really good! The burritos also look quite tasty. I wonder how many things you could make in a waffle iron? Thanks for another great post.
